There are four Education Committees – one for each surgical specialty served by the AONA. Each committee is
dedicated to implementing the educational mission of AONA for their respective
specialties. Each Education Committee is guided by the AONA CME mission
statement which outlines the expected activities and results and provides
direction consistent with the overall educational mission of AONA. The
Education Committees vary in size from seven to nine surgeon members. Each
member is elected to a fixed term, and the members elect a chairman who also
serves a fixed term. Duration of terms is decided by the Committees and varies
between Committees.
